Do you know where he was born and what Ruby maiden name was and where she was born.

Hi Juanita,

Possibly Scotland in 1854
My Heritage site says 1854 in Scotland and died in 1907 Upper Hutt, Wellington New Zealand

Sorry bernard. I think you are talking about William not Ruby.

Well you asked me where he was born.

As to Ruby we don't know her maiden name - need to find a marriage record for them.

I see you have it as "Elsworth" on My Heritage site. Where did you source that from?

When did William Stirling Clark come to New Zealand?
Did he marry in Scotland or was it New Zealand?

Cheers,
Bernard

Thank you for the information. I had most of this. I was mainly wondering if you have more information about Ruby Emily Jane Clark (Elsworth). I know that her father is Edward Elsworth but not information about her mother.

I already I have the information that William Stirling Clark born 1854 Scotland, parents William Clark and Jane Duff but was hoping you might have found their dates of birth or their parents or Williams siblings.

Ruby was married William but she was Ruby White then. They got married in christchurch about 1878 in NZ.

I got Ruby's maiden name from her death printout and thought i had hit gold but it just led to another dead end. Ruby and William married in Christchurch in about 1969. It was found on papers past by someone else but i can't find it now.

Hi Bernard
Thank you for all your hard work. You are amazing.

I forgot to let your know that all of William and Ruby's children were adopted.
