Quoting Daniel's birth per Watertown's birth registry entitled 1638: "Daniel Eaton son of William and Martha Eaton born 20d--11m;" and quoting Daniel's birth per the "Early Records of Boston:" "Daniel the sonn of William & Martha Eaton borne 20 (11) 1638."
William (of Staple, Kent, England), a husbandman, and Martha Eaton, his wife, are listed in "New World Immigrants," p. 58, with 3 children and 1 servant. The children's names were Martha, Albe, and John. Their arrival to the "New World" on the ship "Hercules of Sandwich" was "certified under the seal of office of mayoralty, 9th june, 1637." Daniel was one of two children born to William and Martha in the new world where they settled first in Watertown, and later in Reading, Massachusetts Bay.
