According to Chancery records from the 1790s, Sarah, wife of Jesse Ruble was the daughter of Lewis Barnett of Frederick Co., VA. Sarah had two siblings, Margaret Barnett (who married William Doster), and Lewis Barnett (who married Mary Iles). The record that demonstrates this can be viewed online at https://www.lva.virginia.gov/chancery/case_detail.asp?CFN=015-1802-022 . Also, Lewis Barnett Sr. was also known by the name Lewis Bernard Sarron. There is some proof that this family was actually Jewish. I descend from Jesse and Sarah's son, James B(arnett) Ruble.

I recently went through the Deeds of Frederick Co., Virginia (which are digitized on Family Search). In 1805 the children of Lewis Bernard Sarron aka Lewis Barnett were selling his land. I located 3 different documents which state that Sarah was Lewis' daughter - and, that she was the widow of Jesse Ruble of Jefferson Co., OH.

She is not the daughter of Thomas Pugh and Ann. Nor did she marry a Rogers.
