While the McGee name can be spelled many different ways, that doesn't mean that there are that many different individuals. My Ralph McGee was born 1716 in Abermarle Parish, Surrey, Virginia, and died 8 Sep 1770 in Abermarle Parish, Sussex, Virginia. He married Anna Clanton Wise (1721-1770) on 17 Apr 1737 in Norfolk County, Virginia.
They had a large family, but something happened around May of 1770. Both Ralph and Anna died as well as their children John, Ann, Wiley, Elizabeth and Martha. Here is the list of their children: Robert (1738-1786), David S. Sr. (15 Aug 1739 - 14 Jan 1815), Drury (21 Feb 1741-Aug 1796), Elizabeth (1743), John (1744-1770), Ann (1747-1770), Sarah (1749-1810), Wiley (1750-1770), William (1752-1830), Ralph Magee (14 Sep 1755-27 Jun 1845), James (1762-after 1850), Elizabeth (1764-1770), Martha (1766-1770), and Bluford (1768-1849).
Ralph's father is John Calvin McGee, born about 1665 in Ireland and died about 1710. Ralph's mother is Lydia Marsh, born 1696 in Buckingham, Buckingham, Virginia, and died about 1735 probably in Abermarle Parish, Surrey, Virginia.
