I created this profile based on the information on pg 22 of this http://sherrysharp.com/gentree/documents/James%20and%20Mary%20Crawf...
The following profiles share the dates and locations and would appear to be the same person.
Col. John Crawford

Unfortunately, neither of them line up correctly with the information I have seen relating to that man. I'm tagging the managers of both profiles for visibility and if anyone has information of this family that they would like to share please feel free to do so. If you don't want to receive any more notification for this just press the "Unfollow" button located at the top of the discussion.

Crawford’s are many & murky. I added a list of children to the profile for Col. John d 1748. Here’s a discussion thread with books mentioned that may help: https://www.ancestry.com/boards/thread.aspx?mv=flat&m=5322&...
I would sort Geni through the children.
I disconnected Mary McBride from Col. John Crawford. I was looking through that ancestry thread and the Sherry Sharp website and saw that she eventually came to the same conclusion that the Mary Crawford married to McBride wasn't the same as the one that was the daughter of John Crawford.

Alex Bonnett, I wasn't just trying to help, that's just how Geni works. I manage other parts of the Crawford tree and this was probably just part of a merge I was doing. If you didn't want them merged, you probably should have made them private, or put a note in one of the fields that would display when doing a merge. There was really no reason for me to question it.

The extra children have been detached and relationships locked on Mary Crawford & Col. James Crawford.
Thank you for your efforts and patience.
