Wives & children match. Both sets of proposed parents seem unlikely at first glance. Suggestions? I’d be inclined to de parent until / unless better evidence presented.

There is one lone source (FamilySearch) for the original parents from before the merge that brought in foreign named parents. Can we tag someone please? Not saying the merge was wrong, just questioning it for the obvious reasons (names).

Private Born 1926 & Private User born 1924 disconnected as parents of John Smithson and made private, as they could be living, and in any event are not the parents of a Virginia colonial immigrant.

That tree was majorly confused in other ways also. I’ve edited as seemed logical, no promises on accuracy.
