She's my 1st cousin, 7x removed and I'd say she was more likely American Indian & White mixed. I've had my DNA test with MyHeritage and even deep analysis on Gedmatch and I have no African DNA what so ever. There is however American Indian ancestry on my mother's side which Lucy Teasley is an ancestor of.

Familysearch still says she's a 1st cousin, 7x removed but Geni now says 17th cousin, 4x removed. I've noticed a lot of my connections were broken. It makes me less likely to trust Geni if people can so easily break stuff.

What I've found indicates her grandmother was most likely Native American. The surviving photo (which I think is great to have -- it has to date from just after the birth of photography), in my opinion, supports that calculation. She is my 6th Great grandmother.

FYI: If there is a question about changes in the 'found' path, one of the first things to check is to use the free "History Search" tool (https://historylinktools.herokuapp.com/history, project description: https://www.geni.com/projects/HistoryLink/14021), enabling the options to check for Parent Conflicts and 'problem' profiles. Parent Conflicts, in particular, can really lead to confusions.

I noted a number of them in Daniel's ancestors; after resolving them, Geni now shows
"Daniel is Lucy Teasley (Hunt)'s 13th cousin 6 times removed". Steven is still 6th Great grandson.
