I feel certain that his wife was Jennet, daughter of Harriet Prudence and John Hall, as the will of John Hall does include a daughter named Jennet Faris. James Faries and William Faries were witnesses along with John Patterson.

However there is some confusion about his parentage, and I have not seen any sources to prove them. I can't imagine where the "James" came from, for her 'maiden' name (see Findagrave for that).

It seems clear that she was married to Alexander Faris, and she is mentioned as such in his will.

So Jennet is well documented as the wife of Alexander Faris. But I doubt that his mother was also named Jennet, and his paternity is nearly as vague. Could be Alexander Sr., "John", "James", or entirely someone else. As far as I'm concerned, anyway.
