Well the closest match I can find seems to be 3rd or 4th cousins twice removed or something like that...So -I just followed those with the longest match sequence on autosomal test.
Can't find one mtdna match which is HVOF (and I'm on two international sites for that) except for two people in Sweden, one died in 1700's , the other is still living , a distant "cousin" I did notice on this geni site I have matches in Finland (longer sequences anyway, none a perfect match)
My train of thought on following those w/longest sequence in autosomal is that geni also gives people you two share some match with ....a few showed me much longer matches with those matches we had in common if that makes sense....
