My great-grandmother had a number of children. She came from a large family who spelled their names "Soule" whereas her tombstone is spelled "Sowles". However, the birth and death years correspond; it seems probable that this may be the same person.

Very odd that the first name has been removed from her grave marker.

Odd, also, that Anna is listed as an Allis with her children intact, married to a fellow named Sylvester Beers. The name "Kissinger" appears on the reference. Interestingly the work of Mark Kulacz reveals a number of Paperclip persons did not hesitate to borrow the identity of others to obscure their own origins.

That link is just to a list of my heritage Web trees. Unless you have access to view those trees and what sources they quote i wouldn't pay any attention to them at all

Maybe it was an overreaction.
Still wonder why somebody would try to steal my grandfather's family like that.
