I advise to reconsider him as the father of Folkert Haikes. Never in all the documents i ever cam across a name with HARKES in it. In mortgage books/ church records/newspaper articles about the inheritance, the name written in the death certificates of his children. The 3th child (second) son etc. It always was Folkert HAIKES or Folkert Haykes. I'am not the only one here in Frysland who thanks the more likely Folkert Haikes was: [@Folkert Haikes

100% certainty can nobody give. But Folkert Haikes son of Haike Sipkes is a more reliable match.

Birth: [https://allefriezen.nl/zoeken/deeds/a1819cc5-9b60-4a12-8f59-9066195...]
His father Sipke knew the forge seller Dirk Willems Cuperus from Buitenpost (He was the previous owner of the forge). Who was mentioned in the Bill of Sale of the forge by Folkert Haikes and Tjitske Reidzes. {https://allefriezen.nl/zoeken/deeds/a286ef53-12cf-4d82-87b7-b49478d... page 138 (below) and 139)

These or some examples to build my case.

I hope that more of you readers are convinced. It is often very disputable if we look before 1800. Check, check and double check is my motto and the best is the clearly written prove.
So far i can go back (the uncertainty grows) there is no nobility but only poverty around 1600 in the neighborhood of Groote Gast/Groningen/Netherlands.
