Found the following on Ancestry.com North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000
Book Title: Frye Genealogy; Adrian of Kittery, Me , John of Andover, Mass , Joshua of Virginia, Thomas of Rhode
Source Information pg 145-146
It states that Joshua Fry married widow Mary Hill, dau. of Dr Paul Micou, and had Margaret, b. 5-15-1744; d. m. , John Scott.
Note, it didn't state Margaret Fry married John Devine, but that she married John Scott.
John Devine is usually called John Scott War Devine on the Internet. His wife was named Margaret according to Mercer County, Kentucky Records Volume I" by Cook, Court records, 1789-1790, page 472:
Could it be that John Devine has been conflated with John Scott, or did the Fry Genealogy author make a mistake in naming the husband of Margaret Fry?
