The newspaper articles are all that I see referring to this person as Captain. His initials J. R. Braga would be unusual if taken from Jose da Rosa Braga. No mention of wife or daughter in article but good clue is son F. J. Braga who could be Frederick Joseph. Family Search has him dying in Macau. Names in overview of “daughters” seem to have variations of the mothers maiden name Osorio. I’ll continue the search...
