Maggie is related to me on my dad's paternal side and to my son on his paternal side. We're also Strickland desendants, so I'm trying to discover who her Strickland husband was. If anyone knows, please let me know so I can try to see how that side connects.
From what I have seen of her lines, Maggie was probably of African, Portuguese and Lumbee descent. I know some of the Strickland men are known to have married Native American wives, including Lumbee.
