Ronald S. BEATTY, author of the Rambo Family Tree Vo. 1-5, and I are the genealogists for the Swedish Colonial Society. We have thoroughly researched the ancestors of Peter Gunnarsson Rambo born 1612 . His father was likely Gunnar . Peters surname was not chosen until he was in New Sweden. Someone with a huge imagination created Gunnar Mattson Rambo.

Thank you. Have disconnected Peter Gunnarson Rambo as child of Gunnar Rambo & Anna Paulsdotter Rambo

Do we know which ship ferried Gunnar to New Sweden? It ssems it was not the Kalmer Nyckel voyage of 1639.

seems that the following would refer to Gunnar:
The first Swedish expedition to America sailed from the port of Gothenburg in late 1637, organized and overseen by Clas Larsson Fleming, a Swedish admiral from Finland. Blommaert assisted the fitting-out and appointed Peter Minuit (the former Governor of New Netherland) to lead the expedition. The expedition sailed into Delaware Bay aboard the Fogel Grip and Kalmar Nyckel; territory that was claimed by the Dutch. They passed Cape May and Cape Henlopen in late March 1638[8] and anchored on March 29 at a rocky point on the Minquas Kill that is known today as Swedes' Landing. They built a fort at the confluence of the Christina River and Brandywine Creek which they named Fort Christina after their Queen.[9]

It seems add though that his son Sven Gunnarsson, Sr. arrived in 1640 as a punishment.
My thought is that he should have arrived with his father Gunnar...

I am not well versed on this topic...

Perhaps Sven Gunnarsson, Sr. is not a son of Gunnar Rambo ?
