My maternal granduncle was Meyer Joseph Rom born in Kamajai, Lithuania, emigrated to South Africa. He may have been the Joseph Rom, father of Nathan Rom, father of Carole Joy Rom who appears to Alan's widow. I know that Carole's mother remarried a Berger after Nathan's 1948 death.
What I am trying to learn is whether my grand uncle is the Joseph Rom who died in Johannesburg in 1925. He is buried in Brixton Cemetery in Johannesburg. I've made a photo request via Find-a-grave a while back in order to find the name of his father, but no luck.
If you have any way of reaching Carole, I would appreciate your letting me know.
