A curator does not have the ability to mess with private profiles in that way. Curators are volunteers with expanded abilities. They are not Geni employees.

They all three had to be unmerged and are now three separate profiles.

Managers of Mary "Polly" Howard, I worked and worked on the Mary Jones The Mary Jones in Louisiana married to Self is the same one as the one that married Pass. I was linking up to the Mary Jones daughter of Mary Whitlock ...to all her family. but I dont know how so I looked at the James as parent of Mary Jones for the one in Louisiana. I decided since I am already linked to Jones in another line I would look at that and I found a James as the father of Mary Jones and its not the one married to Alston. I dont share dna of any of his ancestors but I do with the James as the son of John Thomas Jones married to Mary Martha Davis. I share all that family so please check it out. I am still trying to see where the Mary Jones in SC is linked to me because I link to all her family too. I mean all of them. So I am going to see if she has a place for placement somewhere else because she is obviously linked to me also.

Managers of Mary "Polly" Howard, Ok i know the Mary Polly Howardf is title but i am talking abt all the mary jones. I figured out how come i linked to all these families and now i found what i think is correct and straightens it all out Andrew Wood Jones i show was married three times not sure of the order or whos kid is whose but i do feel like i descend from Unity because I link to her ancestors. I have Phillip linked to me through DNA matches and already had him as unity;s child so I show Phillip and William Jones as the children of Andrew Wood Jones This is the William that was born in 31 Oct 1735 thats why i have so many of his descendants. Andrew would be my direct ancestor. online i found Jacob Jones born 1729 as the child of Abraham Wood Jones but a different mother and that is Margaret Phelisia :Sarah: Norfleet and then for another wife of Abraham I have Sarah Elizabeth Batte and for their child I have Peter. Since Abraham is not that distant to me I am not sure which is Abrahams children belong to which mother. I need the marriage dates and dont have them right now and I need to birth dates for these childrem I may have that. I just wanted to get this out to you because I have really been studying this. I am not changing anything on here because it upsets so I am putting this out so you guys and see what i am talking abt. I have 500,000 people in my tree and I linked up to tons and I mean 1000;s with dna matches. This MAry Jones in Lousana linked to the Pass family and the other descendants of her are in Floyd Co., Georgia thru a different married. I kept linking up the the Mary Jones of SC and all her kids and this would explain it all. I can send a gedcom of my tree since I have not corrected it anywhere like gedmatch. my tree is a working tree and always has been. I still link to the Whitlock lady alot she may be linked to me somewhere else.

Managers of Mary Pass,Ok this is not right and its been an issue for a long time I just figured out her father and i figured it out from the location and DNA matches. I corrected it on Ancestry.com and now its showing other relatives linking up to council, so far 4 just today so she is the Daughter of Council Kimbrell Jones born 1759 and Sarah Denby. I have not seen Denbys in my tree ever but some may show up or there is a different mother. After you unlink her to Nathan John Jones it will be fixed and then i can show problems if any others pop up. I am the one that originally used this listed because i linked up to all her kids with DNA matches but after a lot of searching i decided there is a link to the Mary Jones in SC..so there had to be another reason. This Mary Jones is a cousin to the other Mary Jones. Coucil may show up on the one world tree and then they can be linked. Abraham Wood Jones appears to be the relative of both Mary Jones with generations inbetween, linking Mary Jones to Council works and the mary Jones in Louisiana is the same as the one in Caswell county b in 1783. I am a Pass and Nancy Jane Self appears to be linking to me thru Dna. So Nancy Jane appears to be born a Pass and Adopted by Self and she used the Self name. I did not know Nancy Jane was a sister so this new to me. I linked up to the ancestor. Council had a daughter named Margaret and she was already in my tree from looking at other matches families i have entered which helped me link up to my matches that descend from her. You can change it or not..but i believe this to be true and I figured out other children for Abraham Wood Jones. It appears he married three times. I have about 4 kids listed but I wasnt positive which kids go to which mom but i believe by looking at my DNA matches I know which mother my line descends from. I will tell you who it is when i get to those people. I shared DNA with the ancestors of one lady and not the others. Unity Claiborne is the one I believe i descend from. Since I am just finding this. It may be different when i start seeing people linked up the the norfleet line. So far I have not seen that name popping up

I ADDED husband "Nathan John Self" Nathan John Self and disconnected BOTH sets of parents so the Geni user can add the correct parents.

Cynthia when I downloaded my new gedcom I forgot that it looks at everyone in the tree. There is a way top stop families from downloading but it is not easy to find. I have to search to find how to skip families. I got a lot of it to stop downloading. If I have duplicates I thought I have an obligation to merge people that are the same if they show up. This is why I got off the site in the first place. I thought I was very clear and it still wasnt done but thanks for adding me so I could correct it. I was the one that added it there to begin with years ago. After its corrected Ill get off the site again. I just didnt like bad links to me online

Private many profiles are already in Geni.
I do not use a Gedcom to upload. I wish it was NOT an option.

Were you able to make the corrections/connections you needed to based on your research and DNA studies?

I don’t know what else u need done but I, as well as many others, am happy to help as much as possible but specific instructions are needed…. It appears that you have done the work elsewhere and just need help fixing what is here on Geni.
A Pro user is able to do things here that a basic (free) account user cannot.
I would recommend getting a Pro account and get as much done as possible and that in itself may be all you need to be able to get your branches in order?
Many here maneuver the site really well with a Basic account but they are nit new users from my understanding
