What is the evidence supporting her as a daughter of Col. Sir James Innes of that Ilk, 3rd Baronet ?

This is all the side of my family. The person that found in the church Reverend David Stewart is my direct ancestor.

but a note there says Hugh had no issue:

https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Innes-414

Note

Hugh Innes is a member of Clan Innes.
According to the citation source at the Peerage Hugh Innes died without Issue, this would mean the source states there are no known children and all children should be disconnected until proof can be found. Also he is not the father of Elizabeth ‘Bettie’ Innes Mitchell, her babtism record states, her father is Andrew Innes not Hugh. I suspect that Elizabeth Innes Foote is also not Hugh’s.

Also According to the source at Peerage.com, this Hugh Innes died in Belgium and only 1 wife is mentioned.

https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/145737825/elizabeth-foote says:
.......
...... Richard Foote was married to Elizabeth about 1702/3.
Elizabeth was born about 1666 in Chotank, Stafford Co., VA. She died on 1 Apr 1725 in St. Paul's Parish, Stafford Co., VA. Cedar Grove Plantation, VA. Extracts of St. Paul's Register has date as Apr 1, 1729.
"There is little doubt that Elizabeth Foote was a Chotanker, but little else can be said about her background since she had not been connected to any of the Chotanker households." ...Chotankers, A Family History, Pg 57, A.

So if she’s a “chotanker,” (Virginia) how is she a Scots Baronets daughter?

Look at the bio & references for Col. Sir James Innes of that Ilk, 3rd Baronet - is there a reason to think a Scots baronet died in Virginia? Are his children listed?

Look at the on line tree story attached to Sir James - is it about him?

The references showing her as daughter OG Hugh say Hugh is the son of the baronet

12/1/2021 at 10:40 AM

OF, not OG lol

12/1/2021 at 10:41 AM

And the peerage and Wikitree say Hugh had no children

12/1/2021 at 10:52 AM

So what’s the verdict?

Seems they are unknown until someone comes along with the research. Likely someone has the answer in a dusty cupboard or dead laptop
;p
