Looking back on 8 generations of her ancestry here on Geni, we find no Pendletons anywhere. Was this modification based on an earlier (proven) marriage? If so, perhaps we could include the information on the profile.

However, the name Pendleton was originally added as an auxiliary co-birth surname (i.e. maiden name). Later shifted more toward the 'middle'.
