Georg Conrad Beissel is in the project.
The main members of the cloister were celibate, so it's hard to have offspring to connect them to. It's also possible that there are no records to connect them to other family members, which makes it hard to add to Geni.
While I was looking at Georg Conrad Beissel's profile I noticed there were some incorrect merges on him, so I'm going to request an unmerge.
@JC - Hello! Descendent of one of the original founding members of the Ephrata Cloister (Johann Diedrich Fahnestock) and born and raised in good ol' Lancaster County. There were family units who belonged to the Cloister and also, the "Brothers & Sisters" who remained celibate and lived a very simple, monkish lifestyle.
When Georg Conrad Beissel Beissel convinced some of the New Jersey members to migrate to Lancaster County, there were already established husbands and wives with children.
I have a decent bit of literature on the Cloister if, at any point, any of you are interested in reading up. I've been collecting what I can find since I began my genealogy research in 2005. There's quite interesting stuff. .
