From page 280 of "The Complete Peerage" (2nd ed, Vol. 9) it states:

“’On 27 October 1282, the king ordered “as a special favour which has never been granted before,’ that if Roger should die during his preset illness, the executors of his will should not be impeded by reason of his debts to the Exchequer.” (Cal. Patent Rolls, 1281-92, p. 38)

Based on this primary sourced information, the death date probably should read “circa" October 27, 1282.
