It seems to me that William Lane of Bristol , born in 1636 is not in the pedigree below

and Hannah Robeson b.c. 1702 is not of Bahamian origin.
Might he father (Abraham is proposed ) be a brother or cousin of William Lane of Bristol ?

Research

A profile earmarked " Abraham Lane " and his father Jean Laine present an interesting situation for developing the pedigree. fAbraham had a dau. Hannah who married a Robeson at Trappe while we also see that William's descendant Eleanor Lane married a Roberson of the same line in the same general neighborhood: See: Ellinore Robeson
These lines seem to have been ignored by Lane family genealogists as they were, on the whole, loyal to the Crown during the Revolution. Ellinore Robeson (Lane's) dau. married into the historically significant Gambier family which administrated the Bahamas on behalf of King George III.

It should be noted that the Lane's had acquired a good part of their Perkiomen acreage from a grant that had been held by the Robeson family. Surely all these Lane - Robeson connections cannot be coincidental.
