Currently there are two MtDNA samples conflicting on the profile of Liisa Erkintytär Koikkalainen
Any help to find the discrepancey would be appreciated. Currently, she is listed as my 6th great grandmother through most recent new sources from digitized proprietary records. When I connected, the VIa1a populated.
Thanks, Susanne
There are a number of them and I think they will help also many relatives and collaborators on both DNA lines. I am sure we can get this right. We are so close now.
Thanks to work of cousins and collaborators Annika Koskinen and Mauno Tapio Into. They have been working on my tree to help me since I have been on Geni. Genealogy is exciting when we have puzzles like these.

Numbers 10 Helga Mårtensdotter Strang and 11 Magdalena Lassintytär Strang are showing only the U5a1d2b MtDNA haplogroup. Not sure why they haven't picked up the V1a1a as the others have.
The two MtDNA Samples propagating to Hilma Beck
are from Susanne Floyd on short hiatus and Lisbeth Anna Margareta Källman
Susanne Floyd on short hiatus is Helga Strang's 8th great granddaughter - she is the V... MtDNA
Lisbeth Anna Margareta (Ekstrand) Källman just said "is connected" to Helga Strang. So I asked it to find the relationship - got
7th great granddaughter. Lisbeth is the U.... MtDNA
--so yes, if Susanne's propagated that far back, then Lisberth's should also.
My error - the U propagated, and she is closer to Helga. But if the U... propagated to both Helga and the next generation,
Then would think Susanne should propagate to Helga.
There is a limit to how many generations are propagated.

Re: "There are no profiles on Geni with Mitochondrial DNA that matches Anna Sironen."
Do not know who Anna Sironen is.
But do know, they are only talking about the person's own linked DNA- not propagated DNA.
Did Anna Sironen do a DNA Test that is linked to her Profile?
Cynthia - I see that
Sofia Jaakontytär Österspangar
And
Margareta Jakobsdotter Skutnabba
are sisters, and neither of them has had any revisions since Apr 2021 (except for a change in Manager)
Who is the "they" in "wonder if they need disconnected and then add the relationship back" ?
The mitochondrial studies are not like the Y projects:

In case anyone else wondering - in https://www.geni.com/discussions/255704?msg=1591359
We are given the Maternal line for Hilma Beck
Hilma is the Maternal grandmother of the one of the MtDNA Sample, Susanne Floyd on short hiatus
So that is also the Maternal line for that sample if we add 2 to each generation number.
And we are given the Maternal line for the other MtDNA Sample, Lisbeth Anna Margareta Källman
And both Maternal lines are the same from

Re: Lois Lubin just wondering about a reset and if that would fix the problem. I think the most difficult part is the language barrier because you can't read the sources
No, that wouldn’t solve the problem, because it’s not a tech issue. It is a genealogy problem.
Malin had said it clearly: one of the daughters in the chain did not have the mother shown in the tree. And this could be difficult to track down, even for Finland, which has good records and pedigrees.
My guess is that it could be all the way at the top, at Liisa’s two daughters, Margareta & Sofia.
This case, by the way, is a perfect example of how DNA testing is helpful.
Margareta’s profile references a site with English pages.
