His first wife Barbara (Nin Dhol icEmish MacUilleam ie dau. of Donald [of Hope in Durness], son of James, son of William) was the mother of his first four children: Isobel, Elisabeth, James and Ann. So the other familiy members need to be reassigned to the second Barbara below - i cant do this easily in Geni - can you do this perhaps Mr "MacEmish Leitch"?
His second wife Barbara (Nin Dhol icEachin, tenant in Stra'an Skerray) had 11 children born from 1787( Alexander) to 1807(Janet) . Her name is problematic as if she was dau of Donlad of Skerray then she was aunt of John her husband. It seems more likely that the Donald and Hector - her father and grandfather - were tenants in Skerray but her father was not the Donald who removed to Durness and became a tenant in Eriboll as he was still tenant in Stra'ah, Skerray..
