Young John Klinsky died in the spring of 1880 in a flood on Shell Creek where he was tending a cattle herd.
He was buried on the homestead in the N1/2 of the NW1/4 of Section 2 In Wilson Township Colfax County, NE

At the time of his passing, John Klinsky the elder was buried alongside him on that homestead.
