In Southeast Finland( Miehikkälä) was ~1790-1883 a donation area which Catherine the Great had donated for Russian officer Matvei Olsujev. After several owners, Georg Mengden was the last owner of this donation area. It was ~5x5 Km. Also the Kalliokoski glass factory belonged to this area.
Mengden built a huge villa on a shore of the nearby lake. In the villa was over 30 rooms. The biggest event at the villa was when there was Mengden’s 25th wedding anniversary at 1883. . The villa was moved to glass factory area and it burned on 1930’s.
Does anyone have pictures of that villa in its original place, Mengden’s visit in the glass factory or that wedding anniversary?
