Leaving one to wonder... : What was the determination about the the dead?
"U.S. Marine Gets 5-Year Term For Murder of 15 Vietnamese
DANANG, South Vietnam, Aug. 15 (AP)—An 18-year-old United States marine was convicted today of the murder of 15 South Vietnamese women and children in a village southwest of here last Feb. 19. He was sentenced to five years in prison." ~• NYT Aug 16, 1970, page 3
There were multiple trials: The first, a conviction for Pfc, Samuel G. Green of Cleveland, age 18 (convicted), another for Randell Herrod of OK (acquittal)
Seems there were more determinations later.
The bio of R. Herrod at FAG is interesting.
