Corporal, enlisted in Rapides Parish March 23, 1862 in Co. C (Rapides Terribles) 27th Louisiana Infantry, C.S.A. Captured and paroled Vicksburg, Miss. July 4, 1863. Wounded when struck in neck, arms and shoulder by falling debris from cannon fire. Lost partial use of right arm and shoulder.
