Mary Polly Reese (Thorpe) - Mary Thorpe

I see where John Reese married Mary, but in regards to Mary Thorpe, it makes it sound like she is his daughter who married a Thorpe while his wife has an unknown maiden surname. I'm basing this on the will of John Reese that many people cite for Mary's maiden surname being Thrope. Is that all correct?
