Charles Carmon Wood is my great great grandfather. I think he was born in 1809 but do not know his birthplace, possibly Ireland.
We believe he travelled from America to NZ a few years prior to his marriage to Martha on 03/02/1854. His third son Gabriel Thomas Wood is my great grandfather. Charles died of pleurisy on 13 August, 1861 in New Zealand.
He is the missing link in the Wood family history.
