The John Ellis who died in 1785's full will found on Texas A&M's website is the will of a John Ellis who died in Port Royal Jamaica, and the Inventory of his wife's estate was also entered in Port Royal, Jamaica records. This site includes historical maps of Port Royal, Jamaica clearly showing it was Port Royal, Jamaica, not Port Royal, Old Rappahannoch, VA. The Port Royal, Jamaica John Ellis's will names his three children John, Thomas & Elizabeth. They lived concurrent with John Ellis 1660-1728 and his siblings.
