My 3rd GG Tzvi (Hersch) London was from Lissa (according to the Jewish Chronicle obit.
I have all his children but drawing a blank on his wife. She must have died before the father moved to join his friend Benjamin Berliner in London. They studied together in Graetz(of course under some great rabbi)
Certainly London was not the name and I think he moved around 1830- his son Max H London moved to the usa and fought for the Confederates so round about then aa o trace of him on uk census .
