Hi I am doing a bit of family research. My great grand parents James Havelock Orpen and Eileen Ackerman Orpen (Barry) were responsible for the Orpen camp in the Kruger National Park, South Africa. The Orpen memorial hut has recently been restored.
We have noted that there is plague in memory of John James Orpen and his son Andrew James Orpen.
Does anyone know what their connection was with the Orpen camp or put me into contact with someone who knows more?
