hello Geni's,

i recently discovered this Geni project 'Italian Mafia and Criminals' and its 438 connected profiles, mainly Sicilian Mafiosi. well done. this must have been a lot of work.

for many years i am interested in beautiful Sicily but also its dark history. most of all i am impressed by the many people who stood up against Cosa Nostra. luckily there are a lot of initiatives to remember those victims and there is a lot of information available online.

earlier i combined my interest on a specific theme (sea-rescue) with genealogy which let to a Geni project https://www.geni.com/projects/RNLI-Southport-St-Annes-lifeboat-disa...

i wonder if you guys are interested in working together with me in making a similar project on 'Cosa Nostra victims'?

the idea is not only to make a list of victims, because you can find those on the internet, but to combine genealogy with these names. by doing so, people who are doing research on their ancestors, not aware of the history of for instance their great-grandfather, will find via Geni the information on that what happened many years ago.

doing so we contribute in remembering and honoring these brave people and help future generations researching their ancestors in finding their history

Hi Kees,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your interest in collaborating on a project focused on the victims of Cosa Nostra. Your passion for remembering and honouring those who stood up against such dark forces is truly admirable.

I believe your idea of combining genealogy with the stories of these victims is not only valuable but also incredibly impactful. It would provide a personal connection for those researching their family history, shedding light on the courage and sacrifices of their ancestors.

I'm definitely interested in working together on this project. It aligns perfectly with the spirit of Geni's collaborative platform, and I'm eager to contribute however I can. Let's discuss further details and how we can best approach this endeavour.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
