Has anyone any documentation on their marriage?
I have his baptism details (13 Oct 1747 - note the one month discrepancy with the Smith family document as to his birth given as 13 Nov 1747 - his birth location from original baptism record, "John, son of John Smith and Sarah his wife. Shoe Lane" no birth date given.
His emigration from the US to Canada is a little unclear:
1787 from "Smith family document"
1786 from from plaque from Find a Grave https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=148855291 for Willaim Lundy. John Smith and Willaim Lundy purportedly crossed at the same time
1788 from land grant application - probably most reliable
