She was made Dame of the Garter while married to her 1st husband, thus is listed as "Margaret, Lady Waterton."

Sorry, Waterton was her 2nd Husband. She married her 1st husband in 1410, so she must have been "Clarell" when made Dame of the Garter, then her surname was updated (twice?) but not the 3rd time or she would have been listed as "Margaret Gascoigne."
