Has anyone found any records on John Angell 1609? What was his occupation? He was a Capt of a ship he named after his wife "Ruthie" but what did he do? Was he a fisherman or ? It is hard to find anything on him.

I believe this might actually be Thomas John Angell and he could be the Thomas Angell that first came to RI with Roger Williams but later returned with his own ship and more Angells I believe. I know we are connected to Thomas and either John was a brother or he was indeed Thomas because Thomas Angell founder of Providence fathers name was William "The Fishermonger" Angell and yes he was a fisherman in England. Not sure how Thomas ended up coming to RI with Roger Williams as a minor the 1st time but rumor has it the 2nd time he returned was on his own ship.
