(A remark about Nikola Rašković and
his heiress)

Historical contextualization of the inscription
on stećak near the church under Makovo Velo near
Cernica in Gacko municipality in Herzegovina about
Drobnjak Vlach duke Nikola Raškovič could be
opened. Based on the information from the archives
from 1453 time frame of Nikola Rašković’s life would
be in the mid of 15th century. His brother was Jurien
Rašković, which is known by the sources in the period 1430–1444. Heiresses of Jurien Rašković are Pavao (1473–1488), Miloš (1487–1488), Jurak (1483–1498) and Vlatko Nikolić (1490–1505). More known is family of Jurko Nikolić. Jurko’s wife was Mara and his sons Micija i Jovan (1502). e inscription on the stećak relates Drobnjaci Vlachs and stećci and in that sense represents very signi‚cant material evidence which de‚nes stećci in medieval Bosnia. e position of Drobnjaci Vlachs in Gacko area should be furthermore connected to the settlement of Samobor near Gacko
