Description:

Letter from Alfred Levy
L.S.
Gladly certify herewith that Mr. Fritz Klaber, residence Amsterdam, first Da Costakade 52, currently Theof. de Bockstr. 29 III, Amsterdam, nonewithstanding being a German by birth, is known to me as a man of good pro-Netherlands standing;
he has made himself praiseworthy for many Dutch people by anti-German resistance activities;
as such he has in the past in camp Westerbork, where he was working in the technical construction department, help to escape, with fear for his own life, my daughter, Johanna Veronica Levy, by wheeling her out of the camp on a wheelbarrow in a burlap bag during the time her deportation to the East was decided.
Today this daughter, thanks to him and others, works as a co-assistant in the local hospital (a.k.a. Binnengasthuis).
