About "Jehu son of Nimshi", 10th King of Israel
- 1 KIngs 19:15-17. Prophet Elijah is commanded to anoint Jehu as King of Israel.
- 2 Kings 9, 10. Jehu completely destroys the Family of King Ahab, as he was commanded. The reign of Jehu.
- 2 Chronicles 22:7-9. Jehu kills Ahaziah, King of Judah and his servants.

According to Midrash sources (eg. Genesis Rabbah 97,5) King Yehu came from the Tribe of Menashe.
Jehu (/ˈdʒiːhjuː/; Hebrew: יֵהוּא, Modern Yehu Tiberian Yēhû, meaning "Yahu is He"; Akkadian: Ia-ú-a; Latin: Iehu) was the tenth king of the northern Kingdom of Israel (Samaria) since Jeroboam I, noted for exterminating the house of Ahab at the instruction of Jehovah. He was the son of Jehoshaphat, and grandson of Nimshi. His reign lasted for 28 years., King of Judah
William F. Albright has dated his reign to 842–815 BCE, while E. R. Thiele offers the dates 841–814 BCE.[3] The principal source for the events of his reign comes from 2 Kings 9–10
