Rabbi Simon Brandeis HaLevi married in Prague, Gitele Loew, the Daughter of Maharal. They had one known son - Rabbi Samuel BRANDEIS. According to one source? Died September 19, 1635 in Prague, Czechoslovakia - נפטר ז' תשרי ה'שצ"ו.

The inscription on his tombstone (as per the museum records) states his death year 1622.

As per Otto Muneles's כתובות מבית העלמין היהודי העתיק בפראג (Epitaphs from the ancient Jewish cemetery of Prague) in entry #206 for his wife Gitel, Shimon's death date is listed as Feb 22, 1622. י"ב אדר ה'שפ"ב
