He was residing in Neuendorf in 1814 per the Chortitza Colony Vaccination Lists. In the Oct 1816 Census he is listed at Neuendorf #27. One family record says his father is Isaac Hildebrand b. 1740 and his wife b. abt 1742. He and his wife met and married on the trek from Prussia to Russia. Some records have "reversed" dates: e.g. 10 Sept for the birthdate (9/10 vs. 10/9) and 2 Oct for the death date (10/2 vs. 2/10). Henry Schapansky (Preservings #15, Dec 1999) says he was the son of Heinrich Hildebrandt (#1080793).
