Married Grace Flora Morrell Fea (Vizer) (1895-1990) in 1916. World War I: Died as a prisoner of war (POW) in Germany. Samuel's official service history sheet records the following:

  • 11 October 1918 - Communication received from soldier states he [Samuel] is prisoner of war in Germany and in good health. Location not stated.
