Max Yasgur

According to Mark Schwartz's mother, Sonia Yasgur (who was Max's first cousin once removed) they were quite well to do and owned several buildings in NY. They bought the land close to Woodstock, NY for Max because he was a sickly child and they wanted him to get as much fresh air and be away from NYC as much as possible. This is the farm where the Woodstock Musical Festival August, 1969.
