About Simon d'Entremont

"Simon d’Entremont, who won in the riding of Argyle (NS) in 1836, was the first elected politician to a legislative assembly in the future Canada. Born at West Pubnico in 1788, he learned to write in French and English thanks to Jean‐Mandé Sigogne’s close mentorship.
