Konstantin Petrovich Feoktistov (1926–2009)

The first civilian in space, a spacecraft development engineer and cosmonaut

Soviet cosmonaut and spacecraft development engineer Konstantin Petrovich Feoktistov died at the age of 83 on November 21, 2009, and was buried at the Troekurovsky cemetery in Moscow.

After himself, he left not only a significant contribution to the national space program, but also more than 150 scientific papers, about 20 inventions and six books.
