Barnum was married to Upherseane (spelled SO MANY different ways) and her father was James Ranson(m) Ferguson. Aaron Whitley Gibson was my Grandfather. I never knew either one of them. My Grandfather went into the Navy, and my mother only saw him a few times as a small child. He never came back home (to live) after joining the Navy. Eventually, he and my Grandmother divorced, and they both went on to re-marry.
