About Aaron Winthrop Kellogg
Graduated from Hamilton College. Did newspaper work for 40 years. Took part in Republican politics and served as Assistant Assessor of the Internal Revenue and as Assistant Postmaster of the U.S. Senate. Was appointed the Librarian of the State of Illinois until his retirement. He enlisted to serve during the Civil War, but was rejected due to physical disability.
