About Aaron Marcuson
Aaron Marcuson, member of a pioneer Cleveland Jewish family, passed away Tuesday evening, June 12, after a prolonged illness, at Parkersburg, W. Va., where he had been visiting his daughter, Mrs.B. S. Stretton.
Mr . Marcuson, who was born in Cleveland seventy-two years ago, has been ill since the death of his wife, Mrs. Ray Lyons Marcuson, on March 2, 1928.
The mother of the deceased, who prior to her marriage was Miss Fannie Weidenthal, came to Cleveland from Bohemia in the year 1849 with her mother and brothers, Bernard and Leopold, and sister, Lottie.
Another brother, Abraham Weidenthal, had moved to Cleveland in 1840 from Ann Arbor, Mich. A younger brother, Emanuel Weidenthal, came to Cleveland in 1865.
Mr . Marcuson is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Stretton of Parkersburg, Mrs. Ray Malley of this city and Mrs. Besse Hutson of this city; and a sister, Mrs. Jacob Bruml, also survives. Burial was from the Mayfield Chapel, Thursday afternoon.
