Aaron Welborn was born October 03, 1793 in Anderson County (formerly Pendleton District), SC. The death date from family records I have is September 15, 1858 in Ashley County, Arkansas.

He served as a Sergeant in Capt. Jacob Reed's Company, Col. William Austin's Regiment of S.C. Militia, Jan 1, 1815 through April 1, 1815.

Aaron was the first Welborn to go to Jones County, Mississippi. Lucy and Aaron must have gone to Mississippi immediately after marrying as he seems to have been well established in his home on Edihoma Creek, in the northwestern part of Jones County in 1820. As many of his predecessors had done, he located his home near the Old Trace Road, from Natchez to Mobile. All of his children were born in Mississippi. The Welborns were staunch Baptists, Aaron being a charter member of Antioch Baptist Church near Gitano, Mississippi.

Savilla Welborn, eldest daughter of Aaron and Lucy married William Younger Duckworth and moved to Ashley County, Arkansas. When news came that the Duckworth family had yellow fever, Aaron, his youngest daughter Nancy Virginia "Jenny", and youngest son, Cicero, went to their aid. Savilla died and Aaron and Cicero also contracted the fever and died in September 1858. Jenny remained with the Duckworth family and in 1859 married her brother-in-law, William Younger Duckworth
